Aerodyne Research was founded in 1989 by Bill Hazlett, a passionate Canopy Formation competitor and member of the US National Team for many years. He decided to incorporate the ideas he had into ram air canopies specifically designed for Canopy Relative Work (CReW) as the discipline was then called. This led to the birth of the AR-7 series, followed by the Triathlon and the Diablo. Many of the innovations introduced by Bill have since been adopted industry-wide.

The rejuvenated Aerodyne Research of today is a dynamic team of talents in design, engineering, manufacturing and sales under the leadership of Edward “Bushman” Anderson. They have created a new, unparalleled, line of products with a global vision and market perspective.

From early 2006 Aerodyne Research is under new ownership with a sharp focus on the sport parachute market. The new catalogue of sport parachute products has been in place for more than 3 years and has allowed Aerodyne to seize a substantial share of the world market. In the next phase we see it as our mission to build on the initial success and develop the company into a market leader.

Aerodyne Research is one of the few manufacturers in the world to be able and equip a skydiver with a full set of equipment, including the main canopy, the reserve canopy and the harness-container system. Our strength is also that our products are all recent designs and incorporate the latest technology. The manufacturing facilities comply with the highest standards for quality assurance and our products are certified by the Aviation Authorities in the United States, Europe and several other countries.
